As an All-American guard at UMBC in the mid-to-late 1980s, Tammy McCarthy '87 was one of the university’s basketball greats, and she continues to hold university records for most points scored and scoring average, and remains second in total rebounds.

Greatest achievement? Being named to the District II All American Team and continuing to hold the UMBC women’s all -time leading scorer record.
